About Me and This Blog

I am a physician in Northbrook, Illinois.

I am board certified in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics (although I have not actively practiced Pediatrics since 2005).  I went to the University of Illinois for undergraduate school, medical school and residency.

This Blog is here for me to share medical knowledge with the world.  Specifically, the things your typical person wonders about, or needs to know.  When specific things arise in the news, I will try to post something about it here in a form that is understandable.

This blog is not political, nor is it a forum for me to spread my opinion.  The views here will be evidence-based and scientifically grounded, though I hope to make them more entertaining than the medical journals and textbooks they come from and in language that everyone can understand without reaching for a medical dictionary!
